Accommodation in Montenegro
Accommodation in Montenegro is quite cheap compared to other cities, although when I traveled there it wasn’t summer yet which is kind of an off-season for Montenegro so have that detail in mind.
I stayed really close to Budva downtown and easy to say that it was a budget friendly price per night in a very good conditioned apartment which I found on Airbnb.
Sightseeing in Montenegro
Budva downtown is quite small with many touristic souvenir shops and bars/restaurants so planning won’t take much effort. Just sightseeing the worthy places in Budva would take a day of yours and not more than that but the natural beauties and viewpoints make you sit and relax watching them for hours.
There are other cities to go and see which take longer to explore and some with hiking spots if you feel like putting in some effort for a rewarding scenery at the end.
Transportation in Montenegro
During my trip in Montenegro, for the transportation we’ve rented a car with friends because traveling in between other cities was not possible without a car since there are no trains or else that takes you to those cities.
Renting is doable when you are more than 2 people and a car will be quite helpful in order for you to see several cities in a day and head back to your accommodation.
Nightlife in Montenegro
Nightlife in Montenegro is active as I have read online yet because I was there during an off-season I couldn’t experience much. Although there are several spots recommended online if you travel to Montenegro during the summer months.
Some of the spots that I have visited in Montenegro:
Mogren Beach
Mogren beach is by a walk distance from the Budva downtown hence it’s definitely worth visiting and easy to say that it’s a tourist attraction point.
If you end up in Montegero during the summer season you can also get to swim in the sea and chill by the beach as many people already do.
Budva Citadel
Budva Citadel takes place inside the city walls and in my opinion it has the best viewpoint with an endless sea in front of you.
You can take pictures and have deep conversations while sometimes there are people who play some chill guitar in the background to add more to the ambiance.
Tivat
If you want to experience a luxury lifestyle then you should definitely see Tivat when you are in Montenegro.
Most of the restaurants & bars are located alongside the coast so you get to enjoy your food & drinks while having a lovely view of the endless sea in front of your eyes.
I recommend you to take a walk alongside the whole coast from beginning to end and then look for a place to sit and relax while you recharge for the way back home.
Kotor
Kotor is very similar to Budva downtown but slightly bigger and with a higher possibility of losing the track of where you are because of the maze alike street design.
Once you are there I highly recommend you to take up a hiking challenge with reaching the Kotor Fortress if you like being active during your travels. A slight warning beforehand that there are quite a few steps on the way up there and nothing to worry about the way back down if your legs are shaking on each step.
After all the view you get up on the Fortress with the downtown underneath you is worth the effort.
