Travel Planning

What’s the next move for travel planning?

You booked the flight tickets, managed the accommodation and finally settled in for the next few days on your new journey, but all of these were not just to sit inside the room you booked and lay on bed all day, now it’s time to do the planning of what to do, where to go and which famous places to see to explore that city fully.

Travel planning looks easy and many people think that once they land in the country they can manage it on the way while roaming around the city but instead it’s one of the most time and energy consuming parts of your travel planning actually.

How to do the travel planning?

When it comes to travel planning I personally do a research about the city I will be traveling to beforehand.

I prefer using Google Maps because it allows you to create a list of places you want to visit and save them which makes it easier for you to check the options you have prepared when you arrive in the city.

I usually make sure to try out the most known/popular spots which other travelers or locals recommend so that I can enjoy the best spots in town with the little time that I have there and not risk wasting my time with options which may not be the best experience.

Sightseeing

The main thing to do once you start exploring the city is sightseeing. Whether it’s historical churches, museums, cafes/restaurants or monuments, all of these are worth seeing because of the fact that these things are what makes that specific city special all together.

One important thing about making the sightseeing efficient and not a burden to get exhausted from walking around all day under the heat or cool breeze is to come up with a decent sightseeing plan.

Basically pinpoint the locations/buildings that you want to visit that day and don’t go visiting them all randomly, start from one point and order them in a way which your next spot will be near the first one and so on. This way you will get to explore the city, take lunch breaks and continue to explore more of it without going back and forth without an efficient plan.

You planned all the details of what to do and where to go, now it’s time enjoy the nightlife!
