Accommodation in Krakow
Surprisingly Krakow is very cheap when it comes to accommodation. I have stayed in the middle of the city center when I was there for the last time and paid the same amount per night when I stayed outside of the city centers on other cities. Accommodation part shouldn’t be a struggle to handle and you can seek a nice looking apartment for your taste since the prices are quite similar with each other.
Sightseeing in Krakow
Krakow has a small city center therefore it shouldn’t take long in order to handle the planning of sightseeing and executing it, most parts of the city even just in a day. The city itself looks very cozy and intimate with it’s historical architectural street design. You can use your first day for the sightseeing and once you are done you can seek out some activities or Polish cuisine locations to try out.
Transportation in Krakow
Since Krakow has a small city center you won’t be in need of a public transportation as much as other cities. There is long tram line going alongside the city center so if you don’t wanna walk more than 15-20 minutes you can always hop on it and make it easier for yourself. You can either buy tram tickets online from an app called Jakdojade or pay by card inside the tram also.
Nightlife in Krakow
Nightlife in Krakow is quite active until late hours even in the weekdays because it attracts lots of tourists especially during the summer season. Nightclubs to bars and even the restaurants/fast food spots stay until late hours because of high demand of both locals and the tourists.
Some of the places that I have visited in Krakow:
Oskar Schindler’s Enamel Factory
Visited this museum located a bit outside of the city center so I had to grab a Bolt there, it’s a historical museum about the German Nazi era and the Jewish people who worked in this factory trying to evade the camp.
You have the options to either take a look yourself or with a guide but to remind you that even without a guide it will take more than an hour and half of your time.
St. Mary’s Basilica
This great building takes place right in the middle of the city center so there is no chance for you to miss it.
I didn’t have the opportunity to take a look inside myself but it might be worth if you have the chance for it.
Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCAK)
This contemporary art museum takes place right next to Oskar Schindler’s Factory so I’d suggest you to take a look while you are nearby there already. Inside the museum there are many interesting contemporary pieces to lose yourself or even feel weird time to time even. The museum has certain pieces which stay there permanently and also some other pieces which take place temporarily for a period of time also.
Krakowskie Zakąski Bar
When it comes to nightlife in Poland, Krakow I didn’t have enough time to try out nightclubs but instead I got to experience this bar full good vibes and cozy environment thanks to a local’s suggestion. The fact that this bar was literally one street behind my accommodation made it even better also. I highly recommend having a drink in this bar before you leave Krakow.
